A GENUINE TURKISH GAY ICON: AYSE HATUN ONAL

1Here’s a genuine and contemporary “gay icon” from Turkey.

Ayşe Hatun Önal  was a former model and now a house music singer.

She’s  a cool woman whom the gays love.

Born in 1978, Ayse Hatun ‘s first released album is SONUNDA (FINALLY) in 2003. This album has mainstream pop songs but also a progressive house classic “ÇEKSENE ELİNİ (TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF).In this song she has worked with Erdem Kınay, who is a succesful DJ/PRODUCER from Turkey. This song has slang words like “Would you take your hands off me? You will break my waist!”

After this album, she was the guest singer in the Turkish rapper Ege Çubukçu’s song HEY DJ (No need to translate huh?)

The album that made her a gay icon was released in 2008 with the name SUSTUYSAM (WHAT IF I WAS SILENT)

This album has many hit house and R&B songs like KALBE BEN (ME TO THE HEART), YOK YOK (NOT NOT), BIRAKMA BENİ (DON’T LEAVE ME), DOĞRU KANALDAN BAĞLAN (LOGIN FROM THE RIGHT CHANNEL) and HAYALIMDEKI (IN MY DREAM)

This album was still the best Turkish House Music album ever.

Ayşe Hatun’s long silence has finally finished with the song SEN VE BEN in 2013. In this single she has worked with one of the legendary DJ/PRODUCER of Turkey, Birol Giral (AKA BeeGee)

Ayşe Hatun’s latest single is called ÇAK BİR SELAM (C’MON AND SALUTE ME). This song may be a dissapoinment fort he people who were waiting a great house song from her but still her cool attitude and her style (and of course her flawless beauty) dazzled our eyes for once more.

We are expecting more from Ayşe Hatun Önal, nevertheless she’s one of our favorite singers when we dance in a club.

Ayşe Hatun Önal is live on stage on Friday May 30th,2014 at LOVE DANCE POINT
